REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Six Free Painting Classes For The Blind Or Visually-Impaired

"About the classes

Work with NIAD Art Center as we explore painting techniques using an assortment of media to create bold tactile works. Classes will use acrylic painting mediums as well as various textures papers, fabrics and threads on both paper and canvas. No prior painting experience necessary. The workshops are led by Oakland artist Dawline-Jane Oni-Eseleh.

Classes runs Mondays from 1pm – 4pm on February 26; March 5, 12, 19, 26; and April 2, 2018 at the New Space Studio (adjacent the Café) at the Ed Roberts Campus, 3075 Adeline in Berkeley.

This six-week session of art classes is funded by The San Francisco Foundation.

About the instructor

Dawline-Jane Oni-Eseleh employs a vast catalog of visual notes and memories to create her work. A lover of materials and process, Dawline-Jane uses a range of media including relief print making, pen and ink, photo transfer and encaustic. Her work has been exhibited nationally as well as locally across the Bay Area (including at NIAD Art Center), internationally and in print- and online- publications. Oni-Eseleh is currently a Print Public artist in residence at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley."
